Plate Four, from The Mallarmé Suite

Four prints comprise Kelly’s Mallarmé Suite; they owe little visually to their poetic sources. Their simple design masks the complexity of their creation, which perhaps alludes to Mallarmé’s ultimate goal of aesthetic transcendence.
